My grandmother was a labor and delivery nurse, and I loved listening to her stories as a child and even into adulthood. We often watched a show called “A Baby Story” and I hung on to every word and moment of that show. As I grew older, I quickly became a doula for friends and family without even realizing it. Being a support person for a laboring mother and her partner is by far one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
